In this age of corporate climbing and professional networking it has become all too easy to lose touch of the 'You' in your life. Whether in the workplace, social spheres, or even within a personal lifestyle, the nature of our fast paced culture is to detach us from our talents to be used by something larger than... well us. Young professionals– and even veterans at their trade– find themselves seeking the best interests of someone else to find their 'dream job'. This appeasement manifests itself at an early age too, while young students search for that first choice college; a time when we underrate personal achievements as 'application credentials'. No matter the walk of life one may be journeying on, a person's uniqueness is constantly at odds with the daily grind. For some, this fight might be second nature. It's not like we consider the constant battle our bodies have with gravity. Each any every day the gasses inside of us are fighting against the force of nature, keeping us up and running— without us even noticing!

But the social pressures we experience are constantly changing, forcing us to find new ways to adapt—we are all too aware of that kind of pressure... Not to worry though! There are simple ways to break the cycle of 'mundanity'. One of those ways is starting something new. Searching for the best fit for our talents is an endless journey, one full of new and exciting moments and decisions. Here at 2Rogues, we are constantly challenging the unknown. As a new and growing company we find it our mission to balance entertainment, and education— so that we can inspire You to grow with us! But it's scary too— As a developing writer and musician I often find myself on the horizon of a seemingly million opportunities. But which ones should I pick? Who should I trust, and how do I find the energy to keep going when things don't turn out like I thought they would? These are the questions many people find themselves asking.
Let's turn our attention to some tips offered by the fitness enthusiast turned professional Jim Lorimer, known for launching the National Championship Ohio Track Club in 1959 and having served as chairman on the U.S. Olympic Committee for Women's Athletics during the 1960s. Although, perhaps he is most famously known for the launching of the Arnold Sports Classic.

In You Inc. Episode 80 "Launch: With Jim Lorimer", aired live on WCBE 90. 5 FM Ria Greiff discusses the obstacles that involve the starting of 'something' with an individual knows them all too well. Jim Lorimer recalls that he noticed in the early 50s that the Soviet Union's women’s' track and field team dominated the United States. He stated that this was because young American women were not given the same opportunities to train as the Soviet women. This led him to start developing the groundwork for his women's track team to win the National Championships in 1961. Recognizing the issue (and following his passion for it) is what led Jim Lorimer to live out his dream on the global scale. He was able to challenge the 'status quo' by working to give women the chance to compete in the same arena as men. We may not all be as big a name as Jim Lorimer, but we can use his example to achieve our own dreams. When speaking about the importance of sports he states that, "You pretty much get out every aspect of life in direct proportion to what you put in...". The most difficult part is the beginning. Like dragging that old lawnmower out for the first job of the season. Pulling the tattered string at the right angle and with just the right amount of force so it starts up, but doesn't tear in half, is the hardest part. It may take more than a couple of tries, but it's started for the past six years, it'll start again... right? That's the kind of attitude we need when 'starting' things. It may take different fuel, maybe even a little disassembly, but we've got trusty vessels that protect us from the forces of the universe... like gravity... So Launch.
